In a simplest term this can be described as Damage to the brain from interruption of its blood supply. Can be likened to a lightening bolt that strikes ones brain.
Depending which area it strikes , it leaves the victim with different and individual deficits . Most common deficits are lack of speech, inabilty to use one side of the body, hearing impairment . From being an independent totally functional person , it can leave a person 100 % disabled.
